Program Overview

Here's what's happening in religious education during the 2019-2020 program year.

Most weeks children and teens will attend RE programing in our classrooms. About once a month we keep our classroom in the sanctuary with all ages or attend a children's chapel program.

Nursery: Open Sundays from 10:15 - 11:30. The curriculum of the nursery is love and acceptance. We hope all children will feel loved, nurtured, and accepted in that space. It is staffed by our paid nursery care provider, Barb Kolar. Barb advises and assists any helpers in the nursery.

Seedlings (PreK-K): On about the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month you'll find Maria Cauchman leading our Pre-K and K kids in developmentally appropriate lessons inspired by Soul Matters to learn about their UU faith.

Sprouts (Gr 1 - 3): Kids will learn what it means to explore the world through UU lenses with their Soul Matters curriculum.

Saplings (4th - 6th): The kids will be exploring more of the world through UU lenses with the Soul Matters curriculum.

Teens (7th - 12th): The Youth Group this year will be exploring neighboring faiths through Soul Matters' "Crossing Paths" program. Rooted in our UU faith and religious pluralism - teens this year will have access to equal parts learning, small group ministry, and deep fun. Depending on the Sunday they will be found in the classroom, in the sanctuary and visiting other houses of faith.
